Blue Sheep and Abacus extend the B2B data pool

Blue Sheep has announced a partnership with cooperative database pioneers, Abacus, to provide business to business (B2B) data services to enhance its B2B Alliance offering.

Abacus, which operates Europe's only B2B data cooperative, has selected Blue Sheep to take advantage of its aggregated database, The UK Business Universe(r), in order to enhance and deepen its transactional multi buyer database with additional firmographic information. In addition, Blue Sheep will be using its expertise in data hygiene, analytics, data enrichment and enhancement to help Abacus provide its members with additional value added services to help drive effective marketing.

Iain Lovatt, joint managing director, Blue Sheep, said: "The concept of data pooling has been a great success for Abacus. Its extension into B2B markets is attracting much interest and new members. Through our partnership, we are able to provide a number of value added services that will be of benefit to the Alliance partners. Our experience in the B2B market will allow us to provide a fast turnaround of information with valuable data enhancements."
