Direct Mail: Mail Options invest in presonalisation

Mail Options is the first company in the UK to install the latest Videojet mailing solutions technology. The new products have been installed at its facility in West London to help meet increased demand for high quality personalised mailings.

The four new Videojet systems installed: the BX6300, BX6400, plus PrintMail WideArray, with UV ink drying option, and the G4100 with mailing base, were chosen by Mail Options to meet growing demand for faster turnaround times of publications & personalised mailings, plus - equally importantly - a dramatic improvement in print quality.

The equipment can achieve run speeds of up to 152m/min (500ft/min) and notably, the G4100 and PrintMail WideArray systems - incorporating HP Specialty Printing Systems (HP SPS) thermal inkjet technology and inks - allow printing of up to 60,000 postcards per hour.

As a pioneering company, Mail Options is continually looking to improve its services, and as such, places a strong emphasis on listening to its customers' needs, gaining recognition from clients (via QMP, the industry quality standards agency), for its achievements in customer service.

Farook Ahmed, managing director at Mail Options affirmed, "Customers are increasingly looking to us to help them gain the competitive edge in the marketplace and we believe that only by working in partnership with the leading suppliers in the industry can we achieve this; hence we turned to Videojet, with its unique solutions package. "Understanding the potential of the technology, we quickly realised that it would allow us to offer our customers something fresh, exciting and totally different to anything that they had seen previously."

As brand managers target their audiences with personalised messages, demanding ever-shorter runs at a moments notice, the Videojet technology will allow Mail Options to meet these challenges and provide fast versioning of messages and designs.
